An initial comprehensive occupational therapy assessment is completed to understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and unique needs in relation to child development therapy. Assessments may include observations, standardized testing, caregiver interviews, and input from teachers or other professionals. Areas we commonly assess include fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, emotional regulation, and school readiness. Following the assessment, you will receive a detailed report with personalized recommendations and therapy goals tailored to support your child’s development, along with options for individual therapy sessions.
Individual therapy sessions are typically one-on-one and can occur at your child’s home, school, early childhood centre, or in the community. These sessions are personalized and interest-based, focusing on child development therapy to achieve goals such as fine motor skills, gross motor skills, emotional regulation, sensory processing, and daily living activities. Additionally, an occupational therapy assessment can be conducted to tailor the sessions to your child's unique needs.
We offer paired and small group sessions for children engaged in child development therapy, working towards similar goals. These sessions create a fun, social, and supportive environment to build developmental skills through shared experiences and peer interaction, complementing individual therapy sessions and occupational therapy assessments.
